Mindfulness, meditation, dealing with stress, and sharing your feelings and experiences.
From a chill entry level to the original 8-weeks MBSR course!
At our most relaxed USC location Body & Mind in Amsterdam-Oost, online and at Roeterseiland (REC).

Meditation classes

Weekly in the My USC schedule! Guided meditations of 30 to 45 minutes at USC Body & Mind, or online. You can join the meditation classes with a yoga membership or passe-partout.

  • During class, there is enough room for questions and exchange if you would like to.

Mindful yoga

Mindful yoga is meditation in motion. The class consists of gentle yoga postures, a body scan, and a short sitting meditation. You practice being mindful of your body, thoughts and feelings in a gentle way.

  • Make a reservation for mindful yoga via the My USC schedule. The class is 75 minutes and takes place at USC Body & Mind, or online.

Sharing Circle

Once every month on Saturday at USC Body & Mind: the Sharing Circle! A new monthly gathering where you can share your thoughts and feelings about a specific subject chosen by the Sharing Circle facilitator. The sharing circle is a safe and supportive space where you can be vulnerable.

9-weeks course 'Calm within Chaos'

Back at USC: a yoga course at Body & Mind! In the 9-week course Calm within Chaos, you’ll learn how to chill in the chaos around you. With breathing and meditation exercises, yoga philosophy, singing and more, Karthikeyan will help you achieve a positive mental health. The course starts 4 times per year.

8-weeks Mindfulness course (MBSR)

  • The course consists of 8 classes of 2,5 hours and 1 silent meditation day of 4 hours.
  • 4 times per year, in Dutch and English!
  • This is the original MBSR (mindfulness based stress reduction) course, including a workbook and audio clips to practice at home.
  • You will have to do an intake with the teacher prior to your registration. Sign up for an intake.
  • If you have Dutch health insurance with an additional package, you might get some form of compensation for the costs of the mindfulness course (MBSR).

7-weeks stress management course 'Move your mindset'

Mindfulness 🤝 VR technology and sports! In this new course by Floor and Rolf, you will learn how to use stress to your advantage. All in an accessible mix of sports, mindfulness and cool VR simulations. 👀

  • The course ‘Move your mindset’ is 7 weeks (75 minutes per class).
  • Please note! Instead of using the My USC shop, for the ‘Move your mindset’ course you sign up via the website of the UvA and is exclusive to UvA students.

4-weeks course 'Learning to meditate'

Being mindful for beginners! In 4 classes of 60 minutes, you will learn how to meditate and how to incorporate it into your daily life. We practice different forms of meditation. This way you will discover the chillest kind of meditation for you.

  • Sign up for the course ‘Learning to meditate’ via the My USC shop.

Silent Meditation Day

  • A 4-hour silent meditation day
  • Location: USC Body & Mind
  • Various meditations are practiced, both sitting and in motion
  • The meditations are guided

Student Meditation

A group of students organising down-to-earth meditations. That’s what Student Meditation is! Meet nice, like-minded people – without the obligations of a student association – and swing by at one of the original events.

  • Student Meditation aims to stimulate the mental health, resilience, and stress reduction of students.
