The weightlifting course will get you a solid technical basis. After the course, or if you’re already experienced, you can do your own training on the platform.
The course consists 9 classes of 1 hour: a course for beginners and for more experienced weightlifters.
You will learn all basic techniques and derivatives of Olympic weightlifting.
You will learn many extra exercises that can be useful in sport specific or personal training programs.
Please note: you should be able to lift a barbell (at least 10 kg) above your head.
Every course will end with a weightlifting ‘intro’ competition night.
Weightlifting is an important part of my life for 5 years already. I’m doing it almost every day and since 2018 I even started giving the USC weightlifting course. At USC, I’m also managing the front desk team and I’m working on becoming a fitness instructor.
Besides the courses, you can work out with your fitness membership during the open barbell trainings at ASC and Universum (see the group fitness timetable). If you already have some experience with weightlifting, you can also work out individually at our weighlifting platform.
