At USC, you can dance in 10 different styles! Pole dancing, K-pop, high heels, and much more. In 9-week courses, you’ll learn a new dance style alongside a friendly group of fellow students.

- At USC, you can learn a new dance style in 9-week courses.
- There is a beginners’ course for all 10 dance styles. For some styles, there is also an advanced course!
- The courses start 4x per year: in September, November, February, and April.
All dance styles
In the Afro house course, you’ll learn to dance to a mix of house music and African drums.
- A course comprising 9 lessons of 75 minutes each: a course for beginners.
- You’ll learn techniques from traditional African dance, breakdance and house.
- You’ll learn several short and long choreographies.

Never tried cheerleading before but ready to give it a go? This course teaches you the basics of cheerleading. With gymnastic jumps, human pyramids, and a real team spirit.
- Beginners course of 4 classes: Sunday 18:00 – 19:30.
- You will learn the basics of cheerleading.
- You will work towards creating your own stunt routine.

In the Commercial Dance course, you will learn three expressions of feminine energy through original dance choreographies.
- A beginners’ course comprising 9 lessons of 75 minutes each.
- In this commercial dance course, you’ll discover three expressions of feminine energy.
- Each lesson features original choreographies in R&B, hip-hop, pop or Afrobeats.

Contemporary dance is a free-form style of dance that emphasises nuance and gentleness, with flowing movements: both standing and on the floor.
- A course comprising 9 lessons of 75 minutes each: a beginners’ course and a follow-up course.
- You will learn the basic movements, dance technique, diagonal lines and choreography.
- You will learn a variety of choreographies, differing in style, music and dynamics.
- In the follow-up course, the choreographies are more challenging and you will have mastered the basics of contemporary dance.

Dancehall is an energetic and expressive dance style rooted in Jamaican dancehall culture. This course focuses on ‘Female Dancehall,’ a specific movement style centered on sensuality, power, and self-confidence.
- Everyone is welcome to explore this style, regardless of gender or dance experience.
- In addition to learning the dance moves, you will discover more about the origins and cultural significance of the movements and the style itself.
- Over the course of nine weeks, we will build up step-by-step to a longer choreography.

In the ‘High Heels’ course, you’ll learn to dance in high heels.
- A course comprising 9 lessons of 75 minutes each: beginners and advanced.
- Beginners’ course: you’ll learn the basics of high-heel dancing in terms of posture, technique and execution.
- Advanced course: focus on choreography and more advanced techniques.

In the House Dance course, you’ll learn to dance to a mix of street, club and house music.
The 1st part of the class focuses on basic steps and exercises to familiarize you with the fundamentals of house dance. There is room to express your own dance style and share experiences, allowing you to draw inspiration from one another and discover your own way of dancing. In the 2nd half, we incorporate these steps into a set choreography.

- You’ll learn techniques from the street and club dance scenes.
- You’ll first learn a number of basic steps, which we’ll then incorporate into a routine together!
- With plenty of scope to express your own personal style.

- K-pop is Korean pop music known for its spectacular choreography.
- In this course, you’ll learn and perform a real K-pop choreography, culminating in a professionally produced K-pop cover with a video.

Classical ballet forms the basis of all other forms of ballet.
- A course comprising 9 lessons of 75 minutes each: one course for beginners and one for (intermediate) students.
- You’ll learn basic steps and techniques, with a focus on posture, movement and coordination.
- In the (intermediate) course, you’ll also work on jumps, turns and combinations.

Pole dancing isn’t just sexy, it’s also a brilliant workout. Fun + fit!
- A course comprising 9 lessons of 75 minutes each.
- You’ll learn all the basic techniques during the course: spinning, sitting and climbing.
- ClubWest also offers an advanced course.
- Pole dancing is all about strength, flexibility and sensuality.

- You’ll learn techniques from street dance, hip-hop, female dance and urban contemporary.
