Workshop on missing periods in women who exercise a lot
On Wednesday 10 December, nutritionist Julia Haarhuis will host a free workshop about hypothalamic amenorrhea (HA).
- In hypothalamic amenorrhea, the menstrual cycle is disrupted because the brain temporarily stops sending signals required to regulate hormones.
- This condition can occur in women who exercise a lot, as intense training, low body fat, and stress can affect the body’s energy and hormone balance.
Want to learn more about what happens to your hormones when you work out a lot? Reserve your free spot at the seminar here.
When? Wednesday, December 10, 16:00–17:00
Where? De Komeet at Eetcafé Oerknal, Science Park
