Jelmer. Almost as multidisciplinary as the USC passe-partout<\/a>. Sport performance coach<\/em> at soccer club Volendam, fitness instructor and model at USC, weightlifter, surfer, and RV builder! In 2021 Jelmer started working at soccer club Volendam, this year FC Volendam promoted to the Eredivisie. Coincidence? There’s no such thing.<\/p>\n

\"Jelmer<\/a><\/p>\n

A lot of sauce<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

After a season full of wins, Jelmer\u2019s other employer will be playing in the Eredivisie next year. In Amsterdam for example, against Ajax! With that match in the for USC beloved capital in mind, we give Jelmer two dilemma\u2019s.<\/p>\n

1. The Kras Stadium from FC Volendam, or the USC fitness?<\/strong>
\n\u2018The Kras Stadium\u2026 Only if it\u2019s filled with fans though! Otherwise I would go for the fitness for sure.\ud83d\ude09 But it\u2019s really cool to watch the team you\u2019re helping to improve play live in a stadium full of people.\u2019<\/p>\n

2. Herring with onions, or French fries at Oerknal?<\/strong>
\n\u2018French fries at Oerknal! With a lot of satay sauce.\u2019<\/p>\n

Stiff and uptight<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

At FC Volendam, Jelmer\u2019s always busy. He is responsible for the physical performances of all the players in the club. \u2018That\u2019s quite a task, because there are around 200 of them\u2019, he tells us. Still, Jelmer manages to work two days at USC \u2018because it\u2019s such a nice place to be at. The atmosphere is very unique and I always feel welcome when I’m there.\u2019<\/p>\n

Surrounded by all the talented soccer players, weightlifter Jelmer can be seen as something different. \u2018At the club they\u2019re always laughing at me when I\u2019m trying to kick the ball around. I\u2019m way too stiff and uptight for that.\u2019 But in the weightlifting world of Jelmer they <\/em>don\u2019t stand a chance. On the question if there\u2019s a player who can squat just as much as him, Jelmer answers smiling: \u2018Luckily not, otherwise I would have quit right away.\u2019<\/p>\n

Jelmer\u2019s transfer to a new job has made him learn a lot of new things. \u2018Thanks to my studies and FC Volendam I started working more well-structured. That\u2019s something I can also use during my classes and courses at USC.\u2019 For example with Book a USC trainer<\/a> at ASC, where you can pick Jelmer as your personal sport performance coach<\/em>.
